Arlington Talent Program

This Arlington Talent Program, created in partnership with Arlington Economic Development, connects cohorts of emerging tech talent with a temporary paid role at Exelaration. 

Participants gain the skills and experience they need to grow their careers through the power of experiential learning under the guidance of expert mentors. Following the 12-week cycle, graduates understand software development and cybersecurity fundamentals, from application development to screening for vulnerabilities. 

Since it’s inception in 2023, more than 20 Arlington and Alexandria residents have transitioned to full-time tech employment following program completion. The average pay and work rate for participants have increased by 26% and 38%, respectively, and will continue to rise as they gain experience and advancement. These achievements represent not just statistics but tangible transformations in the participants’ lives.

We are proud to collaborate with partners at Capital Youth Empowerment Program, Bridges to Independence, Alexandria-Arlington Regional Workforce Council, and Virginia Values Veterans to ensure this unique opportunity reaches underrepresented and underserved communities.
