As a distinguished leader in technology education, Exelaration is a proud to be an official Registered Apprenticeship. Apprenticeships are a high-quality career pathway for individuals to obtain paid work experience and formal job training. Our apprentices are career changers, veterans, retirees, parents, young adults, and more.
Our apprenticeship program requires 144 hours of technical instruction coupled with on-the-job experience, typically for a total of 2,000 hours. As an apprentice, you can expect to grow your skills in a wide range of technology and engineering areas. You’ll also understand database skills, Agile development practices, cybersecurity, and test-driven principles. But Exelaration apprentices don’t just gain technical skills; they refine their communication critical thinking, workplace etiquette.
Upon successful demonstration of their expertise, apprentices receive a nationally recognized certificate of completion, validating their qualifications as a member of the tech workforce.
Build an Apprenticeship Program
We are adept at working with government and corporate organizations to build workforce programs that WORK. Typically, Exelaration provides the required technical instruction and program oversight while participants work to complete your critical projects. Plus, we can provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to ensure the enrollees meet all their goals while working for you.
Exelaration can source and evaluate potential apprentices for your own distinct program. We specialize in identifying diverse candidates from underrepresented populations, ensuring a rich and inclusive talent pool.
To be eligible for any of Exelaration’s jobs programs (including internships and apprenticeships), you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Hold a high school diploma or GED
- Be flexible to work in a hybrid, remote, or on-site environment
- Be eligible to work in the USA
- Be willing to commit to a paid full-time role for the duration of the program (at least 12 months or 2000 hours)

Mark Washington
Mark is a proud army veteran and an even prouder father of four. Prior to coming to Exelaration, he worked as a barber for 15 years in the Arlington community. During that time, he had the opportunity to interact and converse with all kinds of people in from many different backgrounds. After joining the Arlington Talent Pilot Program, Mark opened the door to a tech career by gaining skills and experience through a temporary, full-time paid role.
